About Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport, Lucknow
Lucknow's Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport (CCSIA), covering 1,258 acres, is currently India's 11th busiest airport. In the fiscal year 2024-25, it handled over 7.02 million passengers. To manage increasing traffic, Phase 1 of Terminal 3 (T3), a ₹2,400 crore investment, was opened in March 2024, providing a capacity of 8 million passengers per annum (MPPA). Phase 2 of T3 is now in development and is expected to boost the terminal's capacity further to 13.7 MPPA.
The airport enhances passenger convenience with various advanced systems, including Digi Yatra, E-Gates, 2D scanners, an Automatic Tray Retrieval System (ATRS), Self-baggage drop counters, and Automatic Number-Plate Recognition with a FasTag-based payment system for vehicles.
About Lucknow International Airport Limited (LIAL):
Lucknow International Airport Ltd (LIAL) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Adani Airport Holdings Ltd, that operates and manages CCSIA, Lucknow. LIAL has signed a concession agreement with Airports Authority of India to operate, develop and manage CCSIA for a period of 50 years. LIAL commenced commercial operations of CCSIA on 2 November 2020.
LIAL has the distinction of being the first airport operator to achieve the British Standards Institution’s (BSI) Building Information Modeling (BIM) Kitemark certification for Design and Construction, globally. The recognition underscores LIAL’s dedication to adopting cutting-edge practices and maintaining the highest standards in its projects.
